Yes — OPENROAD offer two types of awnings—— the 270 awning and the 180 awning, and both are designed to fit most vehicles, including 4WDs, SUVs, utes, and vans equipped with roof racks or platforms.

What’s the difference between a 270 and a 180 awning?
A 270° awning wraps around the side and rear of your vehicle, providing nearly full coverage — perfect for all-day shade and rear access. A 180° awning covers just the side of the vehicle, making it lighter and more compact.

If you're looking for maximum shelter and plan to camp longer, go for the 270. For quick shade and lighter setups, the 180 does the job beautifully.
Can I use the awning in strong wind or rain?
Absolutely — our awnings are built for Australian conditions. With dual-layer swing arms and reinforced hinges, OPENROAD awnings are rated for:
Freestanding: up to 10 mph winds
With support legs and guy lines: up to 25 mph winds
The fabric is 600D blackout-coated Oxford with UV50++ and full waterproofing, offering shelter even in heavy rain.
What’s the best awning for solo setup?
