Whether your tailgate will clear the awning depends on your roof rack height and how high your tailgate opens. As a rule, you’re good to install if:
A=Roof rack height above the vehicle
B=Tailgate open height
B < A + 12.5 cm

Our 270 freestanding awning was rigorously wind-tested in real-world Melbourne conditions. Through open-air trials, we determined its freestanding rating of 30 km/h and pegged rating of 60 km/h. Our tests compared BOM forecast data with actual onsite wind measurements to ensure reliable, real-world results.

Warning
When you roll the awning back, push each hinged arm toward the housing so the fabric and zipper stay aligned — this prevents the canvas from bunching and makes the zipper easy to close.
Tip: do one arm at a time and don’t force the zipper; realign and try again.
