OPENRAOD 270 Free Standing Awning
OPENROAD 270 Awning — the ultimate 270 awning for Aussie 4WD touring, beach days and off-grid camps. Built from tough 230gsm Oxford polyester and powered by our next-gen Eclipse Shade Technology™, it delivers cooler, darker shade by blocking harsh UV better than standard PU coatings — helping reduce heat and glare where you need it most.
When the weather turns, you’re covered. With a 3000mm waterproof rating and a click-in drainage support pole that creates a positive fall, rain sheds fast with less sag, less flap and no “puddle tray” surprises. Integrated dimmable, three colour-adjustable LED light strips let you dial in the perfect ambience for cooking, reading or stargazing.
Built for real-world conditions, this 270 free standing awning was wind-tested in Melbourne — rated 30 km/h freestanding and 60 km/h pegged — and reinforced with dual-layer aluminium swing arms and heavy-duty hinges for rock-solid stability. The included full hardware kit makes mounting easy across crossbars, T-slot racks, platforms and bed racks, so you’re ready to roll anywhere.

270 AWNING SIDE WALL
Shielding you from the sun in summer, and from wind and rain in winter.
Warning
When you roll the awning back, push each hinged arm toward the housing so the fabric and zipper stay aligned — this prevents the canvas from bunching and makes the zipper easy to close.
Tip: do one arm at a time and don’t force the zipper; realign and try again.
